Discourse in Deconstructing - Limited Edition Fine Art Print
This is a limited-edition fine art print from "Drawing Phenomena", an ongoing architectural drawing and visual research practice.
This is a special piece emerging from extensive research into the post-industrial site of Dolní Vítkovice in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The original photograph was taken from a book documenting the site during its early stages of transformation into an accessible, partially restored, and renovated industrial heritage landscape.
In this work, the materiality of the structure is deconstructed, leaving intentional voids that make the spatial construction more pronounced. Several layers were built on top of one another using dots and lines on tracing paper, with the photograph collaged into the composition itself. The piece was featured as an Honourable Mention in the Archisource 2024 Awards in the Mixed Media category.
Together, these layers represent different states of life and form, expressing the organic condition of this moment in time.
The work combines architectural observation, drawing and material research to explore how buildings accumulate traces of time, adaptation and disappearance.

Colours and paper texture may appear slightly different depending on screen settings and lighting conditions.
